DiaGenesys and Proxtronics to Support and Manage the Department of Energy\'s Student Diversity Partnership Program

The Department of Energy has selected DiaGenesys, Inc., a minority small business 8a company and its team member, Proxtronics Inc., to help fulfill its commitment to address long-term workforce requirements and diversity goals. As a subcontractor, Proxtronics brings a wealth of experience gained while successfully priming this contract for 5 years prior to their 8 a graduation.

Working in partnership with DOE's Office of Economic Impact and Diversity, Proxtronics will assume joint program responsibility to develop and execute programs to address workforce diversity goals. This will encompass a comprehensive approach to establishing a centralized program that is managed by the contractor.
"The fundamental mission of this program is to develop and implement action strategies that provide opportunities for students from diverse backgrounds to increase participation in programs designed to motivate them to pursue careers in science, engineering, and technical fields," said Annie Whatley, Senior Advisor, for Minority Education Programs at DOE.

Some of the key tasks will include developing eligibility requirements, student recruitment and processing, travel, housing, social & cultural events, training & education workshops & evaluation.
