Return to News Proxtronics to Reopen New Orleans Field Office Damaged by Hurricane Katrina
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE New Orleans, LA (October 13, 2005) - In the face of catastrophic Hurricane Katrina, a
mandatory evacuation was ordered for businesses and residents in the New Orleans and
surrounding parishes. Because of the evacuation of personnel and structural and flooding damaged sustained to the business, Proxtronics New Orleans Office relocated operations to Baton Rouge for six weeks; however, Proxtronics will reopen its New Orleans office and to resume full operations on Monday, October 24, 2005.
Although the Proxtronics office sustained water and wind damage, the office has been
restored and cleared for occupancy. "We are thankful for the swift action of the property management company," said Ron McLendon, Director of New Orleans Operations,
"Proxtronics has called New Orleans home for over 10 years now and we are looking forward to lending a hand in the environmental relief effort"
