Established in 1991, Proxtronics began as a local radiation dosimetry monitoring company located in Springfield, Virginia. In the beginning Proxtronics was small, unknown and with very limited resources. We compensated with "sweat equity" and sound business decisions. We were relentless; we added technical staff, developed our programs in economies of scale, created new processes, and established good relationships with our clients.
Over the past 15 years Proxtronics has grown into a multi-disciplined company with worldwide presence specializing in solving its clients' Environmental, Safety and Occupational Health, Radiation, Information Technology, and Management and Technical Staff Augmentation Service needs by providing highly qualified professional support.
Proxtronics is currently providing services to federal government agencies such as the Department of Defense ( DOD), Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), US Department of Justice DOJ), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the Department of Agriculture (USDA) and others. Proxtronics has primed 100% of its contracts and 85% of our contracts have been won on a full and open competitive basis.
Proxtronics is a GSA Environmental Services Schedule holder and maintains a DOD SECRET facility clearance. Proxtronics has established field offices in Greenbelt, Maryland; San Antonio; Texas; New Orleans, Louisiana; Mexico City, Mexico; Lagunilla de Heredia, Costa Rico; Sao Paulo, Brazil; and Bern, Switzerland to support our clients.

In 2002, Proxtronics was awarded with the Brooks AFB Minority Small Business of the Year. This award was given to Proxtronics because of our cost and time efficient performance and commitment to the community and customer. Proxtronics’ ability to implement sustainable programs for it clients is proven through our performance evaluation for the management of NASA Goddard Space Flight Centers’ environmental program in which we received an overall rating of "excellent" with a score of 97. Each specific performance elements: Technical Performance, Business and Program Management, and Cost Control also received a rating of "excellent".
